Size chart (measure your dog's front paw while standing):
Size 1: paw 5.0 x 4.0 cm, dog 1.5-5.5 kg
Size 2: paw 5.5 x 4.5 cm, dog 5.5-8.5 kg
Size 3: paw 6.0 x 5.0 cm, dog 8.5-12.5 kg
Size 4: paw 6.5 x 5.5 cm, dog 12.5-20 kg
Size 5: paw 7.0 x 6.0 cm, dog 20-27.5 kg
Size 6: paw 7.5 x 6.5 cm, dog 27.5-35 kg
Size 7: paw 8.0 x 7.0 cm, dog 35-42.5 kg
Size 8: paw 8.5 x 7.5 cm, dog 42.5-50 kg
Go by paw size first; weight is a guide. Between sizes? Choose the larger one.

Hot pavement check: RSPCA WA suggests holding the back of your hand on the ground for five seconds. If it is too hot for you, it is too hot for your dog's paws. Boots add a layer of protection, but on hot days RSPCA advises walking early in the morning or in the evening and sticking to grass and shade.

New to boots? Let your dog wear them indoors for a few minutes at a time first. The rubber sole can stiffen in the cold.
